Questions
Does it rewrite the text?
No. This is an extractive summary: it selects the sentences that are most connected to the rest of the text. Because it never writes new words, it cannot make up facts - unlike AI chat summaries.
How does TextRank work?
Every sentence is compared with every other sentence by the important words they share. Sentences linked to many others are central to the topic and are chosen first - the same idea as Google’s PageRank for web pages.
How long can the text be?
Up to a few hundred sentences works instantly. Very long books are better summarised chapter by chapter.
Is my text uploaded?
No. The summary is calculated in your browser.
Is it free?
Yes - free and unlimited, with no sign-up and no watermark.
