Exact size, filled and centred
The photo is scaled to fill the size you choose and centred; anything that does not fit is trimmed evenly from the edges. At 300 DPI, 3.5 × 4.5 cm is 413 × 531 pixels - the size photo labs and most online forms expect.
For a US passport or visa (2 × 2 inch), switch the unit to inch and type 2 and 2.
Tips for an accepted photo
- Plain white or light background.
- Face straight to the camera, both ears visible, no shadows.
- Take the photo from about 1.5 m away so the head is not distorted.
- If the form also has a KB limit, run the result through Compress image (for example to 50 KB).
