When converting a transparent PNG to JPG, the transparent areas become white.
- JPG - photos; small files, opens everywhere. Has no transparency.
- PNG - screenshots, logos and text; sharp edges and transparency, larger files.
- WEBP - the modern web format; small files with transparency, but some older apps cannot open it.
